The WNCX Morning Show welcomed Rick Baron to the studios today. Rick is a long-time listener and friend to WNCX, who recently came forward with the revelation that he has super-memory skills. As it turns out, Rick is the third known person in the U.S. to come public with their ability — a little known condition labeled “hyperthymestic syndrome“.

Rick’s ability allows him to recall details of events that he’s seen, heard or read about during his lifetime — and committed to memory. His abilities have garnered interest from University of California-Irvine and others for further study; as well as media attention. A 4-hour Discovery Channel documentary on Rick will air this April as well as interest from reality TV producer Mark Burnett.

Rick’s next move will be a move from Beachwood to California to see where his abilities take him next.
